A Baker is responsible for preparing and baking a variety of bread, pastries, and other baked goods. This role requires skill in following recipes, managing baking times, and ensuring high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation. Bakers may work in commercial bakeries, hotels, restaurants, catering companies, or staff camps.
Bread & Pastry Preparation: Prepare and bake a variety of bread, rolls, cakes, pastries, cookies, and other baked goods.
Recipe Compliance: Follow recipes and production schedules accurately to ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.
Ingredient Handling: Measure and mix ingredients using proper methods and tools.
Dough Management: Knead, shape, and proof dough as required for different products.
Oven Operation: Monitor oven temperatures and baking times to ensure goods are baked correctly.
Quality Control: Inspect baked items for quality, texture, and consistency; adjust processes as needed.
Hygiene & Safety: Maintain cleanliness in the baking area and ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
Inventory & Stocking: Check stock levels for baking supplies, report shortages, and assist in receiving and storing deliveries.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff to coordinate baking schedules and meal plans when needed.
Record Keeping: Maintain logs for daily production, wastage, and ingredients used.
Experience: 2–4 years of experience in baking or pastry preparation in commercial kitchens, hotels, or bakeries.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of baking techniques, dough handling, proofing, and use of baking equipment.
Creativity: Ability to decorate and present baked goods attractively.
Attention to Detail: Precision in following recipes and timing.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift bags of flour and other heavy supplies.
Education: High school diploma; a certificate or diploma in baking or pastry arts is preferred.
Food Safety: Basic knowledge of food hygiene practices; HACCP certification is an advantage.
Contract period: Two (2) years
Food: provided by the company.

Accommodation: Provided by the company.
Working hours: 8 hours a day, 48 hours per week.
Overtime: As per UAE government law.
Vacation: 21 days per year. As per UAE law
