Job Role: BIM Modeler (Architecture)

A BIM (Building Information Modeling) Modeler in Architecture is responsible for creating and managing digital models of building projects using BIM software. These models help architects, engineers, and construction professionals visualize and plan the design, construction, and maintenance of buildings and infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Create and develop detailed 3D models of architectural designs using BIM software (e.g., Revit, ArchiCAD).

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure accurate and coordinated models.

• Update and maintain the BIM models throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring all changes and revisions are properly reflected.

• Produce detailed drawings, plans, sections, elevations, and schedules from the BIM model.

• Perform clash detection and resolve design or construction conflicts within the model.

• Support the generation of construction documentation from the BIM model.

• Assist in the preparation of 4D (construction timeline) and 5D (cost estimation) models for project management.

• Coordinate with the design team to ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and client requirements.

• Provide technical support and training to the team on BIM software and processes.

• Conduct regular quality checks on the model to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).

• Proven experience as a BIM Modeler in the architecture or construction industry.

• Strong proficiency in BIM software, especially Revit (other software such as ArchiCAD, AutoCAD, or Navisworks may be advantageous).

• Knowledge of architectural design principles, construction methods, and building systems.

• Familiarity with BIM standards, protocols, and workflows (e.g., BIM Execution Plans, LOD—Level of Development).

• Ability to interpret and create architectural drawings and specifications.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work within a multidisciplinary team.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Certifications in Revit or other BIM-related software.

• Knowledge of construction documentation and design.

• Familiarity with clash detection, 4D and 5D BIM applications.

• Experience working on large-scale or complex projects.

Working Conditions:

• Location: Typically based in an office setting, with potential for some on-site collaboration.

• Hours: Standard full-time hours (may vary depending on project deadlines).

• Travel: Minimal travel required for site coordination or meetings.

Conditions:

• Contract period: 2 years

• Food: SR 300 food allowance or provided by the company.

• Working hours: 8 hours a day, 48 hours per week.
