A Bricklayer is responsible for constructing and repairing walls, partitions, chimneys, and other masonry structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and other materials. They ensure structures are built to specifications, level, and aligned, contributing to the overall integrity and safety of buildings.
Reading Blueprints & Plans – Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and building plans to understand the structure and materials needed.
Bricklaying & Masonry – Lay bricks, blocks, and other materials to construct walls, foundations, and other structures.
Mixing Mortar – Prepare mortar (or other bonding materials) to ensure proper consistency and strength for brickwork.
Measuring & Aligning – Measure and align brick placements, ensuring accuracy and level for structural integrity.
Cutting Bricks & Blocks – Use appropriate tools, such as hammers or power tools, to cut bricks and blocks to the required size.
Wall Construction & Repair – Build or repair brick walls, chimneys, partitions, and other masonry structures, following safety standards and quality guidelines.
Structural Support – Ensure the structural stability of the work and carry out work that meets local building codes.
Tool & Equipment Handling – Use hand tools, such as trowels, levels, and power tools, to construct and finish masonry structures.
Site Cleanliness & Safety – Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following health and safety protocols to minimize risks on the job site.
Collaboration – Work with other construction professionals, including general contractors, laborers, and engineers, to complete construction projects.
Education – High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship in masonry is preferred.
Experience – Prior experience in bricklaying or masonry work is highly desirable.
Technical Skills – Knowledge of various masonry techniques, tools, and materials.
Physical Stamina – Ability to lift heavy bricks, work in physically demanding environments, and remain active for long periods.
Attention to Detail – Precision in measuring, cutting, and aligning bricks to ensure the quality and safety of the structure.
Math & Measurement Skills – Basic arithmetic and measurement skills to calculate and cut materials accurately.
Safety Awareness – Understanding of safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site.
Teamwork & Communication – Ability to collaborate effectively with other construction team members and communicate job needs clearly.
Tool Handling – Proficiency in using both manual and power tools for cutting, shaping, and laying bricks.
Physical Dexterity – Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling tools and materials.
Terms & Conditions: –
Food → Free meals will be provided by the Employer as contractually agreed
Accommodation → Provided from Company as contractually agreed
Medical → Provided according to Romanian legislation
Contract period → Two (02) years for all above categories
Probation period → 03 months
Working hours → 08 hours a day, 48 hours per week, 6 days
Vacation → 21 days per year
Air Ticket → Return air ticket to the home country after 2 years continuously contract period
