Engineer – Technical Support Full Time

We are seeking motivated Engineer – Technical Support professionals to provide comprehensive IT support in a 24/7 operations environment. This role covers both frontline helpdesk assistance and basic desktop engineering tasks, ensuring smooth and secure IT operations for the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for user IT issues and inquiries.

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity problems.

• Escalate complex issues to senior IT teams when required.

• Install, configure, and update software and user devices.

• Manage IT support tickets and ensure timely resolution within SLAs.

• Support user account setup, password resets, and access management.

• Monitor, track, and maintain IT assets, including laptops and licenses.

• Document support processes, solutions, and user guides.

• Ensure compliance with IT security standards and system updates.

• Collaborate with IT teams to improve processes and system performance.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.

• At least 1–2 years of relevant IT support/helpdesk experience.

Skills

• Knowledge of Windows and/or Mac OS.

• Basic networking, security, and software management knowledge.

• Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote support tools.

• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.

• Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.

Work Schedule

• Shift-based (24/7 operations)

  • Morning: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM

  • Afternoon: 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM

  • Night: 9:30 PM – 6:30 AM

• Hours: 9 hours per shift (including 1-hour meal break)

• Days Off: 2 days per week (rotational)

Salary Range

💰 Competitive package: LKR 90,000 – 150,000  (based on qualifications and experience)
