A FIDS (Flight Information Display System) / Low Current System Operator is responsible for managing and operating low current systems within a facility, such as FIDS, CCTV, public address systems, fire alarms, and other communication networks. They ensure that these systems run smoothly, monitor their performance, and resolve issues promptly to ensure continuous service.
Monitor, operate, and maintain Flight Information Display Systems (FIDS) and other low current systems (e.g., CCTV, PA systems, intercoms, fire alarm systems, and access control systems).
Ensure that all low current systems are functioning properly and provide support during system failures or malfunctions.
Troubleshoot system issues, report malfunctions, and coordinate with technicians for repairs or adjustments.
Perform routine checks and inspections on systems to ensure they are operating within set parameters and standards.
Update, configure, and program FIDS displays to reflect real-time information and meet operational needs.
Coordinate with the IT department, facilities management, and other stakeholders to ensure integration and smooth functioning of systems.
Monitor alarms or notifications generated by the systems and take appropriate actions to resolve them.
Ensure that the systems comply with safety regulations and operational standards.
Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new low current systems as required.
Document all maintenance activities, including issues, repairs, and system configurations.
Provide technical support and guidance to other staff members or departments that rely on low current systems.
Respond to emergency situations and provide solutions in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
Proven experience in operating or maintaining low current systems (e.g., FIDS, CCTV, PA systems, access control, fire alarms).
Strong technical knowledge of low current electrical systems and their components.
Familiarity with FIDS software and system configurations.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with low current systems efficiently.
Understanding of the integration of various building management systems and low current systems.
Good communication skills for interacting with other departments and reporting issues.
Ability to work independently and in a team, especially during emergency situations.
Strong attention to detail and proactive approach to system monitoring.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in low current systems or related fields is preferred.
Certification in low current system maintenance or similar technical fields.
Familiarity with system integration tools and software for FIDS, CCTV, PA systems, etc.
Previous experience in a high-traffic facility such as airports, malls, or public buildings.
Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards related to low current systems.
Location: Typically in facilities such as airports, transportation hubs, large commercial buildings, or industrial facilities.
Hours: Shift-based work, may include nights, weekends, and holidays to ensure systems are continuously monitored.
Travel: Occasional travel may be required for system maintenance or troubleshooting at different locations.
Contract period: 2 years
Food: SR 300 food allowance or provided by the company.
Transportation: Provided by the company.
Accommodation: Provided by the company.
Working hours: 8 hours a day, 48 hours per week.
Overtime: As per KSA government law.
Vacation: 21 days per year.
Medical facilities: Provided as per company policy.
Air passage: One-way free ticket after completing the contract.
Probation period: 3 months (as per KSA law).
Other conditions: All other terms as per KSA government law.
