Job Overview

We are recruiting a Finance Officer on behalf of an internationally renowned company operating in Sri Lanka. The selected candidate will support end-to-end financial operations, ensure accurate payment processing, maintain compliance with statutory requirements, and assist in financial reporting and budgeting activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Process vendor payments, reimbursements, and operational expenses accurately and on time

• Verify invoices, supporting documents, and approval workflows in line with internal controls

• Coordinate with partner banks and perform bank reconciliations

• Prepare monthly financial reports, cash flow statements, and expense summaries

• Assist with budget preparation, monitoring, and variance analysis

• Ensure compliance with local tax laws, VAT, withholding tax, and statutory filings

• Liaise with external auditors and accounting firms during audits

• Maintain proper financial records for compliance and audit readiness

• Carry out additional finance-related duties as assigned by management

Qualifications & Experience

• University degree in Accounting or a related field

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in payments and monthly financial reporting

• CPA or equivalent professional qualification preferred

• Good knowledge of Sri Lankan tax regulations and compliance

Skills & Competencies

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Good analytical and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

• Communication skills in English and Sinhala/Tamil

Work Schedule

• Working hours: 9 hours per day (including 1-hour meal break)

• Shift options: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM or 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM

• Weekly off: 2 days per week

Salary Range

• USD 600 – USD 700 (commensurate with experience)
