UX (User Experience) Engineers focus on creating intuitive, accessible, and enjoyable digital experiences for users. They combine user research, design thinking, and technical skills to ensure that applications and websites meet both business objectives and user needs.
For All Levels (Juniors → Seniors)
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to define user requirements.
Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing.
Create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to communicate design ideas.
Ensure UX designs align with accessibility standards (WCAG) and usability best practices.
Continuously analyze user feedback to improve the product experience.
Additional Responsibilities by Level:
Junior Level:
Assist in research, usability testing, and documentation.
Support senior UX engineers in creating wireframes and prototypes.
Learn UX design principles and best practices under mentorship.
Mid-Level:
Lead UX design for specific projects or features.
Integrate user-centered design processes into product development.
Collaborate with UI engineers to ensure accurate implementation of UX designs.
Senior Level:
Define UX strategies, frameworks, and standards for the organization.
Oversee user research and usability testing across multiple projects.
Mentor junior and mid-level UX engineers.
Ensure alignment between UX goals and overall business strategy.
For All Levels (Core Skills):
Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, HCI (Human-Computer Interaction), IT, or related field.
Strong understanding of user-centered design principles.
Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision).
Knowledge of usability testing methods and analytics tools.
Good collaboration and communication skills.
Experience by Level:
Junior Level: 0–2 years in UX design or research (internship acceptable).
Mid-Level: 2–5 years in UX roles with hands-on design and research experience.
Senior Level: 5+ years in UX, with leadership and strategic design experience.
Preferred (Especially for Senior):
Experience working with agile/scrum teams.
Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to communicate with developers.
Knowledge of accessibility compliance and inclusive design.
Strong portfolio demonstrating UX projects and outcomes.
