The Line Electrician & Programming Technician ensures the seamless operation of production lines by maintaining electrical systems and programming automation controllers. This role requires technical expertise in electrical circuits and PLC programming, enabling efficient troubleshooting and continuous process improvement.
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems on production and assembly lines.
Diagnose and repair electrical faults in motors, sensors, relays, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and other control equipment.
Program, test, and modify PLCs and other automation devices to optimize line performance.
Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to implement control system improvements.
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical panels, wiring, and control units.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and electrical codes during all maintenance and programming activities.
Maintain documentation of programming changes, maintenance activities, and system configurations.
Provide technical support and training to production staff on electrical and control systems.
Technical diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field.
Proven experience (2+ years) in industrial electrical maintenance and PLC programming.
Strong knowledge of PLC platforms (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi).
Experience with HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces) and SCADA systems.
Skilled in troubleshooting electrical and automation systems.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and PLC ladder logic.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
Awareness of workplace safety and electrical standards.
