Job Role: LV Supervisor 

An LV Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and operation of low voltage electrical systems within a facility or construction project. These systems typically include power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, security systems, and other low voltage electrical infrastructure. The role ensures that all systems are installed, maintained, and operated in accordance with safety regulations and project specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise the installation, maintenance, and operation of low voltage electrical systems such as lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, and security systems.

• Ensure all work complies with relevant safety codes, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., NEC, IEC).

• Lead and coordinate a team of electricians, technicians, and subcontractors involved in low voltage electrical work.

• Monitor daily progress on-site, ensuring that low voltage systems are installed on time and to specification.

• Conduct inspections and quality control checks to ensure systems are working as intended and meet required standards.

• Troubleshoot issues with low voltage systems and provide solutions in a timely manner.

• Manage the proper documentation for installation, maintenance, and repairs, including drawings, permits, and inspection reports.

• Ensure the correct use of tools, equipment, and materials required for low voltage systems installation and maintenance.

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other teams to ensure smooth project execution.

• Provide training and mentoring to team members on safety procedures, installation methods, and troubleshooting techniques.

• Ensure that all systems are functioning optimally, coordinating any necessary repairs or upgrades.

• Maintain accurate records of all low voltage electrical work and generate reports for management.

• Ensure energy-efficient operation of low voltage systems where applicable.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an LV Supervisor or in a similar role overseeing low voltage electrical systems (typically 5+ years).

• Strong knowledge of low voltage electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and security systems.

• Expertise in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.

• In-depth understanding of safety regulations, electrical codes (e.g., NEC, IEC), and industry best practices for low voltage systems.

• Excellent leadership skills and experience managing a team of electricians and technicians.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities for low voltage electrical systems.

• Good communication skills for coordinating with clients, project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.

• Familiarity with project management tools and scheduling software.

• High school diploma or equivalent; a technical certification or degree in electrical engineering, electrical technology, or a related field is preferred.

• Relevant certifications or licenses (e.g., electrical trade certification) are highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in low voltage systems, electrical safety, or energy management.

• Experience working with energy-efficient electrical systems and smart building technologies.

• Familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) software or other electrical design tools.

• Experience in large-scale construction projects or facilities management.

Working Conditions:

• Location: Typically on construction sites, in commercial buildings, or industrial facilities.

• Hours: Standard working hours with potential for overtime, especially when working on tight deadlines or large-scale projects.

• Travel: Occasional travel to different project sites or locations may be required.

• Environment: The work environment may include outdoor conditions (e.g., construction sites), exposure to electrical hazards, and other safety risks. Safety protocols must be followed at all times.

Conditions:

• Contract period: 2 years

• Food: SR 300 food allowance or provided by the company.

• Working hours: 8 hours a day, 48 hours per week.

• Overtime: As per KSA government law.

• Vacation: 21 days per year.
