Mason Full Time

Job Role:

A Mason is a skilled tradesperson responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures made of brick, stone, concrete, or other masonry materials. They work on building foundations, walls, fireplaces, and other masonry features in residential, commercial, and industrial construction projects.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Reading & Interpreting Blueprints – Understand and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout, materials, and dimensions of masonry work.

2. Masonry Construction – Lay bricks, stones, concrete blocks, and other materials to build structures such as walls, chimneys, arches, and floors.

3. Mixing Mortar & Concrete – Prepare mortar or concrete mixtures and ensure the correct consistency and proportions for bonding masonry materials.

4. Measuring & Aligning – Use tape measures, levels, and plumb lines to ensure proper alignment and level of the masonry work.

5. Cutting & Shaping Materials – Cut or shape bricks, stones, and blocks using hand tools or power saws to fit into the required spaces.

6. Building Foundations & Structures – Construct strong foundations, walls, and other masonry elements, ensuring they meet safety and structural standards.

7. Repair & Restoration – Repair or restore existing masonry structures by replacing damaged or worn bricks, stones, or mortar.

8. Tool & Equipment Operation – Operate masonry tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels, and power equipment like brick saws and mixers.

9. Site Cleanliness & Safety – Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring safe handling of materials and equipment.

10. Collaboration – Work with other tradespeople, such as carpenters, electricians, and plumbers, to complete construction projects efficiently.

Job Requirements:

1. Education – High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship in masonry is highly beneficial.

2. Experience – Several years of experience working as a mason, with expertise in brick, stone, or concrete work.

3. Technical Skills – Knowledge of various masonry techniques, such as bricklaying, stone setting, plastering, and mortar mixing.

4. Physical Stamina – Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and standing for long periods.

5. Attention to Detail – Precision in measuring, cutting, and placing materials to ensure a high-quality finish.

6. Math & Measurement Skills – Basic math skills to calculate measurements and material quantities accurately.

7. Safety Awareness – Knowledge of safety standards and practices to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.

8. Tool Proficiency – Skilled in the use of both manual and power tools for masonry tasks.

9. Problem-Solving Ability – Ability to address challenges that arise during construction and find effective solutions.

10. Teamwork & Communication – Strong communication skills to work effectively with other trades and follow instructions from supervisors.

Terms & Conditions: –

Food                            → Free meals will be provided by the Employer as contractually agreed

Accommodation          → Provided from Company as contractually agreed

Medical                        → Provided according to Romanian legislation

Contract period           → Two (02) years for all above categories

Probation period         → 03 months

Working hours            → 08 hours a day, 48 hours per week, 6 days

Vacation                      → 21 days per year

Air Ticket                     → Return air ticket to the home country after 2 years continuously contract period
