Purchase Officer Full Time

Job Role:

A Purchase Officer is responsible for sourcing and procuring goods and services required by the company. This includes managing supplier relationships, negotiating terms, ensuring timely delivery of products, and maintaining an inventory of necessary materials. They play a key role in ensuring the company has the resources it needs to operate efficiently while optimizing costs.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Procurement Management – Source and purchase goods, services, and materials as per the company’s requirements and budget.

2. Supplier Management – Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and delivery expectations.

3. Inventory Management – Monitor and maintain stock levels, ensuring that inventory is replenished in a timely manner to avoid shortages or excess stock.

4. Cost Optimization – Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve the best possible value for the company.

5. Purchase Order Processing – Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring all details are accurate and align with the company’s needs.

6. Supplier Evaluation – Evaluate suppliers based on performance, reliability, quality, and delivery times.

7. Quality Control – Ensure that purchased goods and services meet the company’s quality standards and specifications.

8. Record Keeping – Maintain accurate records of all purchase orders, invoices, and delivery schedules.

9. Vendor Communication – Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues related to product quality or delivery delays.

10. Reporting – Prepare reports on purchasing activities, expenditures, and inventory status for management review.

Job Requirements:

1. Education – Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

2. Experience – Proven experience (2-5 years) in purchasing or procurement, preferably in a similar industry.

3. Negotiation Skills – Strong ability to negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices and terms.

4. Vendor Management – Experience in managing and evaluating vendor relationships.

5. Inventory Management – Familiarity with inventory control and stock management processes.

6. Knowledge of Procurement Systems – Proficiency in procurement software and tools, such as SAP, Oracle, or Excel.

7. Attention to Detail – Ability to maintain accurate records and ensure orders are processed without errors.

8. Communication Skills – Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with suppliers and internal teams.

9. Organizational Skills – Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and handle multiple purchase requests simultaneously.

10. Problem-Solving – Ability to resolve issues such as delayed shipments, poor quality of goods, or discrepancies in orders.

Conditions:

Contract period                         – Two (02) Years

Food                                           – Allowance 20 KD

Transportation                           – Provided From Company

Accommodation                       – Provided From Company

Working Hours                          – 08 Hours per day, 06 hours per week

Over time                                 – As per UAE Government Law

Vacation                                    – 21 days per yea, As per UAE law

Medical Facilities                     – Provided as Company Policy

Air Passage                               – One way free after the completing contract

Probation Period                     – 06 months,

Other Conditions                    – All other terms & conditions as per Kuwait Labour Law
