Job Role: Soft Services Supervisor

A Soft Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the non-technical services in a facility or organization. These services typically include cleaning, landscaping, pest control, waste management, and other customer-focused tasks. The role ensures that these services are delivered efficiently, to a high standard, and in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the delivery of soft services such as cleaning, waste management, landscaping, pest control, and other facility services.

• Ensure that service delivery meets quality standards and client expectations.

• Manage a team of staff and contractors, including training, performance monitoring, and scheduling.

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all soft services activities.

• Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and deliver tailored services.

• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure services are being carried out as per specifications and agreed standards.

• Maintain inventory levels for cleaning materials, supplies, and equipment, and ensure their efficient usage.

• Monitor and report on the performance of soft services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions when necessary.

• Develop and manage service schedules, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing downtime.

• Prepare and maintain reports on service delivery, incidents, and maintenance activities.

• Manage budgets and control costs related to soft services.

• Handle complaints or concerns from clients or staff regarding soft services and resolve them promptly.

• Ensure effective communication with other departments, clients, and contractors involved in soft services.

• Support the planning and execution of special events or activities that require additional services.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Soft Services Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role, preferably in facilities management, hospitality, or a related industry.

• Strong knowledge of soft services such as cleaning, landscaping, waste management, and pest control.

• Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Good communication skills to coordinate with clients, staff, and contractors.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.

• Basic understanding of budgeting and financial management.

• Proficiency in using software for scheduling, reporting, and inventory management.

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in facilities management or related fields are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with customer service or client relationship management.

• Certification in health and safety standards (e.g., OSHA or equivalent).

• Previous experience in a hospitality or commercial building environment.

• Knowledge of sustainable and environmentally friendly practices in soft services.

• Experience managing vendor relationships and service contracts.

Working Conditions:

• Location: Typically in office buildings, commercial properties, hospitals, hotels, or industrial facilities.

• Hours: Standard full-time hours, with potential for weekend or evening shifts, depending on client needs and service schedules.

• Travel: Occasional travel to different sites may be required, depending on the scope of the project.

• Environment: The role may involve working in a range of environments, including office buildings, retail spaces, or industrial settings.

Conditions:

• Contract period: 2 years

• Food: SR 300 food allowance or provided by the company.

• Transportation: Provided by the company.

• Accommodation: Provided by the company.

• Working hours: 8 hours a day, 48 hours per week.

• Overtime: As per KSA government law.

• Vacation: 21 days per year.

• Medical facilities: Provided as per company policy.

• Air passage: One-way free ticket after completing the contract.

• Probation period: 3 months (as per KSA law).

• Other conditions: All other terms as per KSA government law.
