Job Role: Supervisor – Electrical

An Electrical Supervisor oversees electrical systems installation, maintenance, and repair activities at a work site. They ensure that electrical systems are installed and maintained according to safety standards, project specifications, and industry regulations. This role involves supervising a team of electricians and coordinating with project managers, engineers, and other personnel.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.

• Ensure all electrical work is performed in compliance with safety codes, regulations, and company policies.

• Oversee electrical construction projects, including lighting, power distribution, and emergency systems.

• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of electrical tasks.

• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and necessary repairs.

• Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide solutions to complex problems.

• Supervise and train electrical technicians and apprentices to enhance skills and ensure quality work.

• Prepare and review electrical drawings, plans, and diagrams to ensure alignment with design specifications.

• Monitor and maintain electrical systems’ performance and safety standards.

• Ensure proper handling and maintenance of electrical tools and equipment.

• Maintain detailed records of electrical work, inspections, maintenance schedules, and reports.

• Ensure that all electrical systems meet energy efficiency and sustainability standards when applicable.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an electrical supervisor or in a similar role (typically 5+ years).

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and installation techniques.

• Expertise in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints.

• In-depth understanding of electrical safety codes, regulations, and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC).

• Strong leadership and team management skills to supervise electrical staff effectively.

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in a timely manner.

• Familiarity with testing equipment and tools used in electrical work.

• Excellent communication and coordination skills to work with various stakeholders.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• High school diploma or equivalent; a technical certification or degree in electrical engineering or related field is preferred.

• Relevant certifications (e.g., Licensed Electrician, National Electrical Code, or equivalent) are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in electrical safety or energy management.

• Knowledge of automation systems, control panels, or building management systems (BMS).

• Familiarity with project management tools and software.

• Experience with industrial electrical systems or high-voltage installations.

Working Conditions:

• Location: Typically on-site in construction projects, industrial plants, or commercial buildings.

• Hours: Standard full-time hours, with potential for overtime or weekend work based on project deadlines.

• Travel: Occasional travel to different project sites may be required.

Conditions:

• Contract period: 2 years

• Food: SR 300 food allowance or provided by the company.

• Working hours: 8 hours a day, 48 hours per week.

• Overtime: As per KSA government law.

• Vacation: 21 days per year.

• Probation period: 3 months (as per KSA law).

• Other conditions: All other terms as per KSA government law.
