A Supervisor – Operations / MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of MEP systems within a facility or construction project. They ensure that all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations are functioning properly, and they supervise a team of technicians to carry out preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of MEP systems.
Supervise and coordinate MEP operations, ensuring efficient performance of systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, etc.).
Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Monitor and schedule regular maintenance to ensure systems are running optimally and reduce downtime.
Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues related to MEP systems in a timely manner.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of MEP systems to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
Manage the team of MEP technicians, providing guidance and support for their work.
Prepare and maintain detailed reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and incidents.
Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and vendors for the proper execution of MEP tasks.
Ensure all required MEP documentation, such as operating manuals, maintenance logs, and inspection certificates, are kept up-to-date.
Ensure compliance with environmental and energy-efficiency standards.
Proven experience in MEP operations or a similar role (typically 5+ years).
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of MEP systems.
Familiarity with relevant safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards.
Excellent leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to manage a team.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Proficient in using computer systems for scheduling, reporting, and record-keeping.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Good communication skills, with the ability to interact with contractors, clients, and other stakeholders.
High school diploma or equivalent; a technical certification or degree in MEP-related fields is preferred.
Certifications in MEP systems, HVAC, electrical systems, or plumbing.
Experience working with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Knowledge of energy management and sustainability practices.
Location: Typically on-site in construction projects, industrial plants, or large commercial buildings.
Hours: Standard full-time hours, may require overtime or weekend work depending on project deadlines.
Travel: Travel may be required to different sites or facilities, depending on the nature of the project.
Contract period: 2 years
Food: SR 300 food allowance or provided by the company.
Transportation: Provided by the company.
Accommodation: Provided by the company.
Working hours: 8 hours a day, 48 hours per week.
Overtime: As per KSA government law.
Vacation: 21 days per year.
Medical facilities: Provided as per company policy.
Air passage: One-way free ticket after completing the contract.
Probation period: 3 months (as per KSA law).
