An Electrical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. The role involves working with wiring, circuit breakers, transformers, motors, control panels, and other electrical components to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
Read and interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and technical drawings.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults, replacing or repairing defective components as needed.
Conduct regular preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to reduce downtime.
Test electrical systems using tools such as multimeters, insulation testers, and oscilloscopes.
Ensure all installations and repairs comply with safety regulations and local electrical codes.
Install and maintain control panels, lighting systems, power distribution units, and backup generators.
Collaborate with engineers and other technicians during system upgrades and new installations.
Document work performed, including service reports, materials used, and issues encountered.
Respond to emergency breakdowns or power outages and provide quick and effective solutions.
Ensure tools and testing equipment are properly maintained and calibrated.
Adhere to company safety policies and use appropriate PPE at all times.
Proven experience as an Electrical Technician (typically 2–5 years).
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and testing equipment.
Familiarity with local electrical codes and safety standards (e.g., NEC, OSHA).
Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Physical ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and with power tools.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or certification in electrical technology is preferred.
Valid electrician license (if required by local regulations).
Experience with industrial automation, motor controls, or PLC systems.
Certification in electrical safety or maintenance (e.g., NFPA 70E).
Familiarity with building management or energy systems.
Location: Construction sites, factories, commercial buildings, or residential properties.
Hours: Full-time; may include shift work, weekends, or on-call responsibilities.
Environment: Indoor and outdoor work; may involve climbing, lifting, and exposure to live circuits (following safety protocols).
Contract period: 2 years
Food: SR 300 food allowance or provided by the company.
Transportation: Provided by the company.
Accommodation: Provided by the company.
Working hours: 8 hours a day, 48 hours per week.
Overtime: As per KSA government law.
Vacation: 21 days per year.
Medical facilities: Provided as per company policy.
Air passage: One-way free ticket after completing the contract.
Probation period: 3 months (as per KSA law).
