A Mechanical Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment across various industries. The role involves working with machinery, HVAC systems, pumps, motors, and other mechanical devices to ensure they operate efficiently and reliably.
Install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems, including HVAC units, pumps, motors, conveyors, and other machinery.
Conduct routine inspections of mechanical systems to identify wear and tear, and perform preventive maintenance to avoid breakdowns.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in machinery, diagnosing problems with parts, mechanical components, or systems.
Disassemble, repair, or replace defective components such as bearings, gears, seals, and belts.
Align and calibrate mechanical components, ensuring that equipment runs at optimal performance.
Interpret mechanical diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals to ensure proper installation and maintenance.
Operate and test mechanical systems to ensure they meet performance standards and safety regulations.
Record and report maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory usage.
Collaborate with other technical teams (electrical, plumbing, etc.) during system installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
Ensure all mechanical systems comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
Maintain an inventory of mechanical parts and materials, ordering replacements as needed.
Respond to emergency breakdowns or system malfunctions, providing timely solutions.
Maintain clean and organized workspaces and tools, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician or in a similar mechanical role (typically 2–5 years).
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, machinery, and tools used for repair and maintenance.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation.
Solid understanding of mechanical principles, including thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and mechanics.
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of safety standards and procedures related to mechanical work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical stamina and dexterity to handle heavy machinery and work in confined spaces.
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in mechanical engineering or a related field is preferred.
Ability to use computers for reporting, diagnostics, and inventory management is a plus.
Certification or diploma in mechanical engineering or a related field.
Experience with industrial machinery or manufacturing systems.
Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Knowledge of CNC machines, hydraulics, pneumatics, or robotics systems.
Location: Industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, construction sites, commercial buildings.
Hours: Full-time; may include overtime, weekends, or on-call duties, especially during emergencies or peak operations.
Environment: The role typically involves working in industrial settings, which may include loud, hot, or hazardous conditions. Safety protocols and PPE (personal protective equipment) must always be used.
Contract period: 2 years
Food: SR 300 food allowance or provided by the company.

Accommodation: Provided by the company.
Working hours: 8 hours a day, 48 hours per week.
Overtime: As per KSA government law.
Vacation: 21 days per year.
