A Plumber Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. This includes water supply lines, waste disposal systems, fixtures, pipes, and valves. The role requires excellent technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work safely under a variety of conditions.
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including water supply, sewage, drainage, and gas systems.
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, showers, faucets, water heaters, and garbage disposals.
Inspect plumbing systems to identify issues such as leaks, clogs, and broken pipes.
Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues, determining the most effective repair or replacement solutions.
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and building codes to install plumbing systems and fixtures.
Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes, safety standards, and regulations.
Test plumbing systems for leaks or malfunctions, using pressure gauges, video inspection equipment, and other tools.
Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent future issues.
Clean and maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in proper working condition.
Respond to emergency plumbing repairs, including burst pipes or water damage situations.
Provide customers with estimates for plumbing work and offer solutions for both short-term and long-term fixes.
Keep accurate records of work performed, including materials used, labor, and costs.
Collaborate with other technicians or contractors on larger projects, such as new constructions or renovations.
Proven experience as a Plumber Technician or in a similar plumbing role (typically 2–5 years).
Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and materials.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and plumbing codes.
Skilled in the use of plumbing tools such as pipe wrenches, plungers, augers, and pipe cutters.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Familiarity with modern plumbing systems, including water-saving technologies and eco-friendly solutions.
Ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure, especially during emergencies.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Physical stamina to perform manual tasks, including lifting heavy pipes and working in confined spaces.
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in plumbing is preferred.
Valid plumbing license (if required by local regulations).
Certification in plumbing or pipefitting (e.g., Journeyman Plumber).
Experience with commercial and industrial plumbing systems.
Knowledge of plumbing installation for new construction and large renovation projects.
Experience with green plumbing technologies, such as water filtration systems or tankless water heaters.
Familiarity with HVAC systems and their plumbing connections.
Location: Residential homes, commercial buildings, factories, construction sites.
Hours: Full-time; may include evening or weekend work, especially for emergency plumbing calls.
Environment: Work is typically performed in confined spaces, basements, attics, or on roofs, and may involve exposure to hazardous materials or sewage. Safety protocols should always be followed.
Contract period: 2 years
Food: SR 300 food allowance or provided by the company.
Transportation: Provided by the company.
Accommodation: Provided by the company.
Working hours: 8 hours a day, 48 hours per week.
Overtime: As per KSA government law.
Vacation: 21 days per year.
Medical facilities: Provided as per company policy.
Air passage: One-way free ticket after completing the contract.
Probation period: 3 months (as per KSA law).
