MIG/MAG Welder Full Time

Job Role:

A MIG/MAG Welder specializes in metal inert gas (MIG) and metal active gas (MAG) welding techniques to join, fabricate, and repair metal components. They work in industries such as construction, manufacturing, and shipbuilding, ensuring strong and precise welds according to technical specifications.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Perform MIG/MAG Welding – Use welding machines to fuse metal components following blueprints and work orders.

2. Read and Interpret Blueprints – Understand welding symbols, measurements, and technical drawings to ensure accuracy.

3. Prepare Materials – Cut, shape, and clean metal surfaces before welding.

4. Ensure Quality Control – Inspect welds for strength, precision, and compliance with industry standards.

5. Maintain Equipment – Perform routine maintenance on welding tools and machines to ensure optimal performance.

6. Work with Different Metals – Weld steel, aluminum, and other metals used in fabrication and construction.

7. Follow Safety Procedures – Wear protective gear and follow workplace safety protocols to prevent injuries.

8. Troubleshoot Welding Issues – Identify and resolve defects such as cracks, porosity, and incomplete fusion in welds.

9. Collaborate with Team Members – Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other welders to complete projects on time.

10. Keep Work Area Clean – Maintain a tidy and organized workspace to ensure efficiency and safety.

Job Requirements:

1. Education – High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in welding is a plus.

2. Experience – 1-3 years of experience in MIG/MAG welding or related welding processes.

3. Welding Certification – A recognized welding certificate (e.g., AWS, ISO, or ASME) is preferred.

4. Technical Skills – Proficiency in handling welding machines, torches, and measuring tools.

5. Physical Stamina – Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for long hours, and work in demanding environments.

6. Attention to Detail – Precision in welding to avoid defects and ensure high-quality results.

7. Problem-Solving Skills – Ability to troubleshoot welding defects and adjust techniques accordingly.

8. Safety Awareness – Knowledge of workplace safety procedures, including fire prevention and proper handling of materials.

9. Communication Skills – Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with a team.

10. Flexibility – Willingness to work in shifts or extended hours based on project requirements.

Terms & Conditions: –

Food                            → Free meals will be provided by the Employer as contractually agreed

Accommodation          → Provided from Company as contractually agreed

Medical                        → Provided according to Romanian legislation

Contract period           → Two (02) years for all above categories

Probation period         → 03 months

Working hours            → 08 hours a day, 48 hours per week, 6 days

Vacation                      → 21 days per year

Air Ticket                     → Return air ticket to the home country after 2 years continuously contract period
